HOXTON HOTEL // LONDON

After ten hours “on the hoof” (that’s British for walking evidently) surrounded by “I luv London” t-shirts and souvenir snow domes, we hailed a “black hackney cab” back to normality to spend the evening drinking cracked pepper Hendrix martinis at the Hoxton Hotel Bar. The Hoxton is situated in the alternative arty professional design area of London: where fantastic local bars (check out Loungelover and Tram Shed) stand side by side with art galleries (White Cube), restaurants (le Trois Garcons, The Drunken Monkey or The Rivington) and internationally renowned design studios (Herzog & De Meuron, Adjaye AssociatesUniversal Architects Studio). The streets are full of quirky beautiful models, trendy artists, up and coming photographers and the obligatory smattering of very sexy, black rimmed glass wearing architects… why would you want to stay anywhere else?!?
