NRJ FASHION NIGHT 2014 // ZURICH

Last Saturday, together with my good friend Philippe Girard (photographer and blogger), we attended the fifth edition of Zurich’s NRJ Fashion Night at the Hallenstadium. To be honest with you guys, it was my first time attending this event, I had no idea what to expect… It was really awesome and the crowd was lovely and soo supporting. The stadium was full and everyone looked stylish (like being in a Milanese night club at 2:00am...) It was quite inspiring to take in everybody’s look. The whole night was just one long Catwalk...a real feast for the eyes!

Let’s get back to the show itself. The stage was amazing and the theme of flying away to the world’s most famous capital cities was the international tread throughout the show. I was quite surprised and impressed by the big production! The models cast were drop dead gorgeous! Yes… surprising huh? In Switzerland we too have genetically engineered top models! The only part I didn’t really like was the Miss Suisse featurettes… a little bit too cheesy for me… However, the absolute highlight of the night was the one and only Ms Sophie Ellis Bextor singing my new favourite song “Young blood” and of course “Murder on the dance floor”. She is stunning, sassy, so charismatic and as equally beautiful as her cut glass English accent!

NRJ Fashion night is a fusion of music and fashion. The last fashion show presented was “Sorapol”. How would I best describe it? A mix of the outright showmanship and craziness of Lady Gaga combined with the fragility of a Geisha with touches of the Chinese last Emperor. 5 stars and two thumbs up from me! Also worth a mention was the glamorous collection of Mery’s couture! Amazing gowns and evening dresses, perfect for Cannes! In general,  for my first participation at NRJ Fashion Night, it was just complete fun and inspiration! I just can’t wait for next year!
