IMINHSAIGON

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes I wish I knew what that reason was… The last few weeks have been full of emotions: both good and bad. Holidays were highly required to reassess, ressource and start anew! And guess what?!? A trip to Vietnam was just what the doctor ordered!

I had the chance to spend 10 intense days in Saigon! I would say 10 days full of discoveries, new experiences and of course the best food on the planet (sorry Mum)! Seriously, I could write pages and pages about my experiences during this visit… From the delicious restaurants that are Quan Bui and Secret Garden to the trendy rooftop bar Glow! I simply will not be forgetting L'Usine and MOC Café on Dong Khoi street and I have definitely found my very own favourite hotspots! I am sure if I had stayed longer, the list would be way longer… I was so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people! My friends in Saigon (and special thanks to the most sexy tour guide ever, my dear Alice) are definitely the movers and shakers in this city and showed me the very best of what this city has on offer and I must admit that I fell head over heels in love with it! Saigon is definitely the city to watch!

Saigon is perfect for shooting for iminhtouch! For this article, I collaborated with the young and talented photographer Phan Vo. When we met, we talked about catching the unknown face of the city, the real Saigon! What better than shooting in the super busy and famous Ben Thanh market, the adventurous Bui Vien street and Le Cong Kieu Street lined with antique shops. Phan Vo didn't only catch the picturesque vignettes that the city has to offer but also caught my emotions and current state of mind.

This article's images are some of my favourites so far… they reflect a new direction and a yearning for experiencing something new. None of us are the same people we were a year ago, a month ago, or even a week ago. We are all always growing. Experiences don't stop if we keep our eyes open!
