ON THE LAKESIDE

Photography by Damien Murer

I've started to realise by myself, before other people commented, that my articles are not just about fashion: I also have a need to express my thoughts. The images are usually a reflection of my current mood and state of mind, sometimes melancholic, sometimes reserved. Some friends even think too serious and dramatic! Where is the happy go lucky mischievous Minh that they see every day: the prankster, the comic and the hyperactive child at heart?!? I realized that I had completely forgot to share the little things… One day, I may look back and realize all the articles were about the big things. So it is definitely time for me to share with you my enjoyment of the little simple things I sometimes take for granted!

Travelling around the world is a gift, more than a passion, I am soo fortunate that it is a big part of my job and I realise I should never complain about it... It's an opportunity some people never get to experience. However, coming home is extra special. I sometimes overlook the fact that when at home in Switzerland, I'm still in one of the most beautiful countries in the world!

With that in mind, we shot this fresh blustery summer look on the shores of lake Biel, just a few minutes walk from home. Picture postcard pretty yes?!? Normally, I don't wear lots of hats, but I started to really like it! When combined with my Ferragamo espadrilles it brings a touch of class to wearing a plain denim shirt and a loose tank top. It is all about mixing and matching the simple with the sophisticated!

Sometimes in life, it's the simple everyday things that make you the most happy! Spending the afternoon on the lakeside, under the summer sun with lashings of ice cream and endless crazy conversations and laughter with your friends… what more could you ask for in life...?!?
