GOOD MORNING VIETNAM

Good Morning Vietnam!

Today is the beginning of the rest of my life! Overdramatic perhaps... true definitely! I've just woke up for the first time in my new home: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). The last few weeks have been a bit of a blur: everything happened so fast... packing up my entire life for a new challenge. This morning is the first time I've had to reflect on the recent chaos. Only two days ago, I swapped the mountain views and lakes of Switzerland and boarded a plane in Zurich for a new life in Vietnam's most vibrant city! I am looking forward to sharing with you every step of my journey and new adventure!

For my first article "Made in Vietnam" showcasing new inspirations and collaborations, the label B21 is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine. At the helm of this fashion label is the charismatic and multi talented Truong Thanh Long: not just a designer, successful businessman, model and actor to boot! His 2015 S/S collection is simply sexy, casual and oh soo very cool. Fifty shades of blue: how could I possibly resist?!? A big personal thank you to Long for his support in launching iminhtouch in Saigon! I am already looking forward to spending hours in his new shop to restock in my depleted wardrobe...

The young and talented photographer Phan Vo, a new contributor of iminhtouch, is responsible for these stunning images. I thought him totally wreckless making me stand on the parapet of a disused factory rooftop but he was right : he secured some of the best views of this breathtaking city! I was just speechless and a little bit terrified... Both scared and excited at the same time! Doing something new is not a bad thing as this shoot shows... it can totally surprise you!

It might take a day, it might take a year, but what's meant to be will always find it's own way. So let’s live this dream and new life to its maximum. Life is happening now. And as my close friend Mark always told me, "life only begins when you leave your comfort zone!"

To be continued…

With special thanks to Truong Thanh Long & Phan Vo
